Nevada Magazine has named Golf Club at Genoa Lakes "2003 Best Championship Golf Course in Rural Nevada."
Genoa Lakes Golf Club has hosted a variety of exciting events and groups, among them the Nevada State Amateur, the Sierra Nevada PGA Chapter, the American Junior Golf Association, the Public Links Qualifying. Genoa Lakes is also the annual host-site of the U.S. Open qualifying in Northern Nevada.
Golf Digest has named The Golf Club at Genoa Lakes "4th Best New Public Golf Course in the U.S. and Canada," and also declared it "3rd Best Public Golf Course in the State of Nevada" and "One of America’s best courses you can play."

From Reno/Tahoe International airport
Follow Highway 395 south toward Carson City
Proceed 1 mile past Carson City, turning right onto Jacks Valley Road ;
Follow Jacks Valley Road for 7.5 miles and turn left onto Genoa Lakes Drive ;
